    Goggles FAQs

They protect maturing eyes from chlorine and salty sea water. Whilst these are unlikely to cause lasting damage they can make your little ones eyes sting which can deter them from swimming.

Our goggles are not only leakproof and comfortable to wear, but they are also anti-fog, shatter resistant, and provide +100% UV protection. Wearing goggles means that your little sea monkey is free to explore from the pool to the sea without worrying about getting water, sun or sand in their eyes.

Once you are comfortable being in the water with your baby, there is nothing to prevent them from exploring the underwater world. Submersion is actually a key component of many infant swimming lessons. Babies have a natural gag reflex which kicks in as soon as their heads go below the water level, this means your baby will not swallow any water if they do go under. It usually takes around two years for babies to learn to swim independently, but it might take even longer. We recommend that your water baby starts wearing goggles from the age of three years, so they are free to explore underwater more independently.

If you want to get your baby to wear their goggles, they must be cool, comfortable and leak proof. Our Submariners are the best-fitting goggles for babies and feature a strap adjustment button for a hassle-free fit – meaning less time for stressing, more time for splashing!

Yes! We recommend that babies from age 3+ should wear our Submariner swimming goggles to keep their sensitive eyes safe and protected.

Absolutely! Babies can actually start swimming straight from birth, but it is a skill that must be learned and developed over time as they grow. But there are precautions you should take, babies under two months old are much more susceptible to infections from the water, so it’s best to wait until they are at least two months.

You should store your goggles in a cool and dry place out of direct sunlight. After use, always rinse thoroughly with fresh cold water and allow them to dry completely. The use of soap or rubbing with a cloth may degrade the anti-fog coating.
